Michael has been involved in Scouting for around 40 years. He started as a Cub and went all the way through to Rovers, as well as being a Scout leader, Venturer leader, District Venturer leader and currently a member of the Southern Cross Adventurous Activities Scout Fellowship.
Michael loves to go away camping and 4WDing, having done numerous outback trips, including crossing the Simpson Desert and the Canning Stock Route. He has been helping members of Scouts and Guides learn how to abseil for over 25 years.
He has worked in IT as a software developer for 30 years, and has developed a great system for us to log our gear, use, and inspections for safety and auditing. You can see some of this work in our resources folder. Michael currently works at BridgeClimb Sydney as a tour guide and climb leader, and has taken around 6,000 people up and over the Sydney Harbour Bridge. He might have even taken you in one of his tour groups!
